A little bit about me

As with any new venture, the question of where do I begin always rears it's ugly head. So I thought the best way to start would be to tell you all a little bit about me.

From a young age, I have always been interested in the more creative side to hobbies. Even starting when I was very young with every boys favourite toy; Lego. From that I moved on to Mechano, and at school I was always involved in the creative projects at the behest of my Teachers. Not to blow my own trumpet but I was pretty good with a paint-brush when I was younger. Then when I got to my Teens, I wanted to create larger and more complicated projects and thus, the Mechano was replaced by a full workshop at school and a classroom for my artworks. Much to my parent's dismay, I was quite prolific in my projects and the garage was always full of bits and bobs that I would be working away on. I always found that the garage was a very therapeutic place for me. Now that I am fast approaching my thirties, I have decided that i want to get back into the good old hands on projects that I used to love and I thought I would share them with yourselves. I do not profess to be a master of wood-work (which will be the main focus of my blog, along with a little bit of home-brew thrown in) but I do love working with it. Mainly I like to take reclaimed pieces and make whatever I can from them. It is amazing how nice an old scaffold board can scrub up and add a lovely bit of character to a room. If you see anything on here you like please get in touch and I will try and oblige your requests / questions.

Any way, the garage is beckoning and I feel a project on the cards!
